In the context of triage, individuals classified as immediate are those who have life-threatening injuries requiring prompt attention. Survivors with life-threatening injuries often present conditions such as severe bleeding, airway obstruction, or major trauma that, if not addressed quickly, could lead to death. This immediate classification ensures that these individuals receive urgent medical care before those with less critical conditions.

While the other categories of survivors, such as those who are walking wounded, comfortable with their injuries, or have minor injuries, are important for overall management, they do not require the immediate attention necessary to preserve life in the same urgent manner as those with life-threatening injuries.
